Eco-friendly heat

With a wood-burning stove from HWAM, you can heat up your living room with a clear conscience. Burning of wood is a CO2 neutral process. The wood simply releases the same amount of CO2 that it would if it were decomposing naturally on the forest floor. When you fire in a HWAM stove, the chimney lets out mainly water vapour which has only a minimal impact on the environment. This is the result of years of development to ensure that our stoves are highly efficient, utilising nearly all the energy in the wood.

At HWAM, we only develop stoves that meet the most rigorous standards, and even now, we more than satisfy EU’s future requirements on particulate matter emissions which will not be implemented until 2022.

However, to ensure a minimum impact on the environment, the stove must be fired properly. All HWAM stoves are equipped with an HWAM® Autopilot™, while WIKING stoves are fitted with an Automatic™ system. Both the HWAM® Autopilot™ and the Automatic™ system automatically regulate the air supply for combustion in order to optimise firing and considerably increase the longevity of the firewood.

We are constantly committed to making our stoves even more efficient and ecofriendly. Therefore, HWAM’s wood-burning stoves are subjected to comprehensive, regular testing to determine their performance in different conditions and at different temperatures and combustion speeds. This is to ensure that the stoves comply with our rigorous environmental demands in any situation – imaginable as well as unimaginable. We uphold this strict testing regime to ensure that our stoves offer the maximum benefit for the consumer with a minimum impact on the environment. A stove from HWAM is the obvious solution to satisfy both parts.
